2011 300 - Press Kit 01 by notbland 2011 300 - Press Kit 01 by notbland
2011 Chrysler 300.
Southern California. December 4-7, 2010.
Official Press Release Photography.

The first redesign of the new 300 since its introduction in 2004. Seen here at sunrise on the Pacific Coast.

One of my personal favorites of the four-day session.

Did you intentionally line up the beltline of the car with the mountains and waterline? Because, if so, genius.

I did not; I was more concerned about just placing the roof line below the distant cliff, to keep the car contained within the land.

That did line up almost too perfectly though, didn't it? =P

The rear kinda reminds me of a Cadillac CTS.

Haha, well I put the word out on my Facebook fan page, but didn't really have any takers on any local area fans that wanted to meet me. Ah well.

And yeah, this is right next to Mugu Rock. :)

Loving this particular shot here. Kinda has a surreal look with the black sand and the car fits well. it's sorta like a brochure shot. Did you use any lighting for this shot or just use the natural sun light?

Thanks! This is all ambient lighting. :)

And funny you say it looks like a brochure shot... ;)

What kind of sand is that?

It's not; it's like crushed black rock, or... I don't know, haha. I tried googling just now but I'm not curious enough, sorry. =P

We're not right on the water, though. There's a 30-40' drop behind that small crest in front of the car.

Did you use a translator? LOL
Because the grammar is a little off... "Ek is bly dat jy dit geniet het"
But cool! Thanks...

Wow, that new design looks a lot classier and more expensive than the old design. I like it.

The picture is, of course, fantastic as well. Amazing location. That foreground texture goes great as a contrast to the clean, polished look of the car.

Yeah, it looks damn good in person. After spending so much time with it, I'm quite the fan of the new look.

And man, that location... I could shoot on that coast for days...

Thanks!
