2012 Porsche 911 Drive 1 - Top Gear Magazine by notbland 2012 Porsche 911 Drive 1 - Top Gear Magazine by notbland
First Drive: 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S.
Issue: 225, Top Gear Awards 2011.
Pages: 71-74.
Location: Santa Barbara, CA.
Date: November, 2011.

Shot during the press month for the car prior to the Los Angeles Auto Show. I've been in some brutally quick cars before, but none were better handling than this stock Carrera S. Just... staggering, this car. First time in a long time a Porsche has been on my personal Top 10 of cars I want to own.

Great perspective! A Porsche isn't a very special looking car to me (you see them very often :) ) but you made it look awesome on this picture!

I tend to agree with that first statement, so I'm glad I could produce something worth looking at! :)

The only thing wrong with this photograph is that it's not mine. Wonderful composition and tasteful editing -- well done!

Your shots are absolutely stunning!
They are among the best pictures of cars Ive ever seen;
Especially the way you use colours is amazing - nature tones mixed together in several layers for a perfect result!
So, I have some questions: How long are you working in order to get such a result starting from the taken picture? Are you using Lightroom? How do you get that high amount of detail (on the trees, street etc.)?

Well thank you so much!

I typically spend 2-5 hours retouching each photo. Some are longer and some are shorter of course, but around 3 hours a piece is often the case. I do use Lightroom, extensively, on every photo I take. Most of the detail comes from editing the RAW in LR3 and exporting, then doing further dodging and burning to get the desired effect. :)
