2013 SRT Viper GTS 14 - Press Kit by notbland 2013 SRT Viper GTS 14 - Press Kit by notbland
2013 SRT Viper GTS.
Southern California. March 6, 2012.
Official Press Release Photography.

The original barn find concept and the reason we shot in the barn, imagined in real life. There was more to the idea that was scrapped in the editing process, but one element from my storyboarding that did survive is the little easter egg in the shadows. :)

This photo was about a nine-hour edit. You wouldn't believe how difficult this shot was to finalize even if I told you.

hey i'm just wondering if you could give us some details about your way of editing your shots. to me it sometimes feels like all the shots for car advertisements, magazine etc. in general are a little bit overdone and turn in a kind of "fake" way. i dont want to insult you or your skills, it just looks way to perfect for just a photo. i hope you get, what i want so say. :D

So back to my actual question, what are the most common editings for car shots? blending different exposed pictures together? how did you get the car looking so "smooth" etc.

i hope you can give me some information. thank you. :) ..and as always awesome shot.

greetings from germany

Pailings! I just learned they have a name, hahaha. And yeah, I knew we'd have that look if the sun came out, so I'm thrilled it came out like it did.

And thanks. ;)

How many images do you usually stick together to get the lighting you want on the car? (it might be one shot, but in that case you fall in the category of light master!)

Depends, of course, but typically 3-6.

Hahaha! Nice little easter egg, and phenomenal work yet again. It'd be cool to possibly the unedited version of this photo!
